We need a Platform Engineer to own AfroSynergy's infrastructure, CI/CD, monitoring, and security posture. You'll ensure our platform is fast, reliable, and secure as we scale across 25+ African markets. What you'll do: - Manage and optimize our Vercel + Supabase + Upstash infrastructure - Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, preview environments, and deployment workflows - Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability (Sentry, PostHog, custom dashboards) - Harden security: rate limiting, DDoS protection, secrets management, dependency auditing - Optimize database performance, connection pooling, and edge caching - Support PWA infrastructure including service workers, offline support, and web push - Manage Supabase Edge Functions and background job processing
- 3+ years in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering - Experience with Vercel, Supabase, or similar managed platforms - Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL performance tuning and RLS policies - Familiarity with CDN configuration, edge computing, and caching strategies - Experience with monitoring tools (Sentry, Datadog, or similar) - Understanding of web security (OWASP, CSP, rate limiting) - Comfortable with TypeScript and Node.js - Bonus: experience with Upstash Redis, web push notifications, or PWA infrastructure
